Opportunity:
ICE is seeking a motivated and collaborative Indigenous Engagement Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will support the planning and delivery projects across a range of sectors and clients, including Indigenous communities and organizations.

Our key service offerings include engagement and consultation, Indigenous Participation Plans, Reconciliation Action Plans, regulatory and permitting support, project agreements (IBAs, MOUs, etc.), Indigenous knowledge and land use studies, research, and environmental and social impact studies. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the execution of project scopes, timelines, and deliverables.
- Support the design and facilitation of engagement processes that reflect Indigenous knowledge systems, values, and protocols.
- Collaborate with Indigenous partners to co-develop culturally appropriate project approaches.
- Contribute to the preparation of Indigenous Participation Plans and Reconciliation Action Plans.
- Assist in preparing consultation records, engagement summaries, and regulatory submissions.
- Support Indigenous knowledge and land use studies, including data collection and reporting.
- Help integrate Indigenous perspectives into project planning and decision-making processes.
- Assist with data collection, analysis, and report writing.
- Support administrative and project management tasks as needed.
Capabilities and Credentials:
- Experience in project coordination and community engagement, preferably with Indigenous communities.
- Understanding of Indigenous knowledge systems, worldviews, and the historical and present-day context of Indigenous Peoples in Canada.
- Excellent writing and research skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening and respectful dialogue.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-cultural environments.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to travel within Canada, including to remote communities.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in a relevant field (e.g., Indigenous studies, sociology, public administration, communications) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in Indigenous engagement or related work.
Additional Information:
- This position is full-time, remote.
- Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.
- Compensation will be based on education, qualifications, experience, and location.
- Regular full-time employees are eligible for company health, dental, and vision plans.
