Haley Rice
Environmental & Engagement Coordinator
Haley is from Mattagami First Nation and has a Biochemistry and a Geotechnical Engineering degree. She is a results-driven professional with a passion for Indigenous relationships and engagement.
Haley has conducted community research for climate adaptation initiatives that included collaborating with NGOs, government agencies, and local communities to develop sustainable practices.
She also led a project related to a Regional Assessment that collected, compiled, and analyzed data on the James Bay region’s geography, climate, demographics, economy, natural resources, infrastructure, and other relevant factors.
Haley also managed an Indigenous Knowledge project interviewing Elders and land users, managing arc GIS data hub servers, and facilitating community and regional planning sessions
